About the Journal
Mishkat: Journal of Theology and Civilization (e-ISSN: 3163-9100) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by PT Bina Perfidia Akademia. The journal publishes high-quality scholarly works on Islamic theology, Islamic thought, religious studies, philosophy, ethics, and civilization within the broader fields of Islamic studies, humanities, and the social sciences. It provides an academic platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to critically examine the relationships between religion, society, culture, ethics, and civilization from both historical and contemporary perspectives.
The journal welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical review articles that contribute to the advancement of theology and civilization studies. Vol. 1 No. 1 (2026): Mishkat: Journal of Theology and Civilization
MISHKAT: Journal of Theology and Civilization Volume 1, Number 1 (2025) marks the inaugural issue of the journal and was published in June 2025. This issue presents a collection of peer-reviewed scholarly articles that examine Islamic theology, Islamic thought, religion and society, and civilization studies. The published articles employ interdisciplinary approaches within the fields of Islamic studies and the social sciences to explore the dynamic relationship between religion, culture, society, and civilization in both historical and contemporary contexts.
As the first issue of the journal, this publication reflects MISHKAT's commitment to promoting rigorous academic scholarship and fostering intellectual dialogue on theological and civilizational issues. The articles included in this issue address topics related to Islamic theological discourse, Islamic intellectual traditions, religious ethics, religion and society, and contemporary issues affecting Muslim communities and civilization.
