Novera: Journal of Economics and Business is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing publication malpractice. The journal upholds the principles of transparency, academic integrity, fairness, accountability, and scholarly responsibility throughout the publication process. Editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher are expected to adhere to these ethical standards to ensure the quality, credibility, and impact of published research in economics, business, management, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, and related disciplines.

COPE Publication Ethics Statement

This journal follows the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in promoting responsible and ethical scholarly publishing. The journal refers to the COPE Core Practices in developing and implementing policies concerning publication ethics, research integrity, peer review, authorship, conflicts of interest, allegations of misconduct, and post-publication corrections.

All authors, reviewers, editors, and other parties involved in the publication process are expected to uphold the principles of academic integrity, transparency, fairness, accountability, and responsible scholarly conduct.

In cases of suspected publication misconduct or ethical concerns, the journal will investigate the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable ethical standards and COPE guidance. Where necessary, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or other appropriate notices to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Duties of Editors

Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope. Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, unbiased, confidential, and timely peer-review process and must not disclose information regarding submitted manuscripts to unauthorized parties. Editorial decisions are made without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, political beliefs, institutional affiliation, or academic background.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers contribute to editorial decisions by providing objective, constructive, timely, and evidence-based evaluations. They must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, identify relevant published works that have not been cited, notify editors of any substantial similarity between the manuscript under review and other published works, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality.

Duties of Authors

Authors must submit original manuscripts that have not been published previously and are not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their work, proper citation of sources, compliance with research ethics, and the integrity of all data, analyses, and conclusions. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and any other form of research misconduct are considered unacceptable.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, excessive similarity, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, data manipulation, or other forms of academic misconduct will be rejected. If ethical violations are identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with internationally recognized publishing ethics guidelines.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for language editing, grammar improvement, formatting, literature organization, data management, or other editorial assistance. However, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific quality of their manuscripts. AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility or accountability for published work. Any substantial use of AI tools in manuscript preparation should be disclosed appropriately.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, academic, or personal relationships that could influence the review, evaluation, or publication of a manuscript. Any potential conflict of interest should be reported promptly to the editorial office to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the publication process.

Sponsorship Disclosure

Novera: Journal of Economics and Business maintains complete editorial independence in all aspects of journal management and publication. Any sponsorship, research funding, institutional support, or external financial assistance that may influence journal operations will be disclosed transparently. Sponsorship arrangements shall not affect editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or publication standards.

Retraction and Corrections

The journal reserves the right to retract, correct, or withdraw published articles when significant errors, ethical violations, research misconduct, or unreliable findings are identified. Corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions will be issued whenever necessary to preserve the integrity and reliability of the scholarly record.

Peer Review Integrity

All manuscripts submitted to Novera: Journal of Economics and Business undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, objectivity, fairness, and research integrity. Editorial decisions are based solely on reviewer recommendations, scholarly merit, methodological soundness, originality, and the contribution of the manuscript to the advancement of economics and business knowledge.
