Author Guidelines

Novera: Journal of Economics and Business welcomes original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, and case studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in economics, business, management, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, and related disciplines. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal or publisher.

Manuscript Language

The journal accepts manuscripts written in English. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the language is academically appropriate, clear, coherent, and grammatically accurate.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format and generally range between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures. Authors are encouraged to use the official journal template and maintain consistent formatting throughout the manuscript.

Manuscript Structure

1. Title

   • Concise, informative, and representative of the study.

2. Author Information

   • Full name, affiliation, country, email address, and ORCID ID (if available). The corresponding author should be clearly identified.

3. Abstract

   • 150–250 words summarizing the background, objectives, methodology, findings, and conclusions.

4. Keywords

   • Three to five relevant keywords.

5. Introduction

   • Background, literature review, research gap, objectives, significance, and novelty of the study.

6. Method

   • Research design, data collection, analytical methods, and procedures. Review or conceptual papers should explain their analytical framework.

7. Results and Discussion

   • Presentation and critical interpretation of findings, supported by relevant theories and previous studies, highlighting academic and practical implications.

8. Conclusion

   • Summary of the main findings, contributions, implications, limitations, and recommendations for future research.

9. Acknowledgements (Optional)

10. References

• References must follow APA 7th Edition and primarily consist of recent, high-quality scholarly sources.

Citation and Reference Style

The journal adopts the APA 7th Edition citation style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or RefWorks to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be clearly numbered, titled, and cited within the text. All visual materials must be of high quality and directly support the research findings.

Plagiarism Guidelines

Authors must ensure that every manuscript submitted to the journal is original and has not been published previously or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All ideas, statements, data, quotations, and materials derived from other sources must be properly acknowledged and cited.

All submitted manuscripts may undergo plagiarism or similarity screening using appropriate plagiarism detection software. The screening is conducted to assess the originality of the manuscript before the editorial or peer-review process.

As a general guideline, manuscripts with a similarity score above 20% may be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected, depending on the extent and nature of the similarity. The similarity percentage is not the sole basis for determining plagiarism; the editorial team may examine the sources and context of the detected similarities.

The following practices are considered unacceptable:

• copying or reproducing another person's words, ideas, data, or work without appropriate attribution;

• submitting another person's work or substantial portions of it as one's own;

• excessive or inappropriate copying from previously published materials;

• submitting substantially similar manuscripts to more than one journal simultaneously;

• substantial reuse of the author's own previously published work without appropriate citation or disclosure;

• manipulating or disguising copied text to avoid plagiarism detection.

If plagiarism or substantial inappropriate similarity is identified before publication, the manuscript may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may take appropriate action, including correction or retraction of the published article, depending on the severity of the case.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality, proper attribution, and academic integrity of their manuscripts.

Originality and Academic Integrity

Submitted manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct. All submissions may be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage

Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for language editing, grammar checking, literature organization, data management, or editorial assistance. However, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, interpretation, and integrity of their work. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and any substantial use of AI should be disclosed appropriately in the manuscript.

Authorship

Only individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Ethical Considerations

Research involving human participants, surveys, interviews, experiments, organizational data, financial data, or other forms of primary data collection must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional regulations. Where appropriate, authors should disclose ethical approval, informed consent, conflicts of interest, and funding information.

Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all metadata—including author information, abstract, keywords, references, and supplementary files—are complete and accurate prior to submission.
